Three birth packages, plus hourly support when you need something smaller. Here’s exactly what each one includes.
How much does birth doula support cost?
Birthing With Gnomie offers three birth packages: $550, $850, and $1,200. Every package includes continuous support through labor and birth. The packages differ in how many prenatal and postpartum visits you get, and you choose the one that fits your household.

How payments and changes work
Your retainer reserves your due date window on my calendar. Everything below is spelled out in your agreement, and we go over it together before you sign.
-
If you cancel before birth
The retainer is kept, and everything else you’ve paid is refunded.
-
If I can’t attend
If illness, an emergency, severe weather, or travel restrictions keep me away, the remaining birth balance is waived or refunded. Arranging backup doula support would be up to you.
-
If birth happens very fast
If labor is too quick or I’m not called in time, fees aren’t refunded, and I’ll add an extra postpartum visit instead.

Questions about packages
What’s the difference between the three birth packages?
Supported Birth ($550) includes 1 prenatal visit and 1 postpartum visit. Standard Birth Support ($850) includes 2 prenatal visits and 1 postpartum visit. Pay-It-Forward Birth ($1,200) includes 2 prenatal visits and 2 postpartum visits, plus a childbirth series or extra support we choose together. Every package includes continuous labor and birth support.
How do payments work?
A retainer holds your date on my calendar. The balance is due in the payment window in your agreement, around 37 to 39 weeks for Standard Birth Support. If you cancel before birth, the retainer is kept and everything else is refunded.
Can I add an extra visit to my package?
Yes. Once the visits in your package are used, you can add a visit for $50. Use it within 30 days. If I don’t hear from you to schedule it in that time, it isn’t refunded after it expires.
When should I reach out?
As soon as you’re thinking about support. Your retainer holds your due date window on my calendar, so reaching out earlier gives you the best chance of booking the dates you need.
What happens if labor goes really long?
A single continuous shift is capped at 16 to 18 hours. If labor goes beyond that, I may take a 2 to 4 hour rest while you’re cared for by your medical team and family, and then come back.
What area do you serve?
I’m based in San Antonio. In-home and hospital support has no travel fee within about 50 miles, which includes Boerne and New Braunfels, and I travel farther for a flat round-trip fee. Virtual prenatal sessions happen on Google Meet, wherever you are.
Not sure which package fits?
That’s exactly what the consultation is for. Bring your questions, and we’ll talk it through.
