Terms
What you can expect from this site, and what governs a booking or a purchase.
These terms are being finalized and the registered business name has not been added yet. The scope-of-practice section below is accurate now and will not change.
A doula is not a medical provider
This is the most important thing on this page. Doula support is practical, emotional, and informational. It is not medical care.
- I do not diagnose conditions, treat them, or prescribe anything.
- I do not perform clinical tasks such as blood pressure checks, cervical exams, or fetal monitoring.
- I do not make decisions for you, and I do not speak to your medical team in your place.
- Nothing on this website is medical advice, and it is not a substitute for your care provider.
What I do is help you understand your options, prepare for them, and feel supported while you make your own choices. If something feels wrong with your pregnancy or after your birth, contact your midwife, doctor, or emergency services — not this website.
Using this site
The guides, articles, and service descriptions here are written for general information. Every pregnancy is different, and nothing written for everyone can account for yours. The words and images on this site belong to Birthing With Gnomie unless stated otherwise; please do not republish them as your own.
Bookings run on the signed agreement
Sending the contact form or booking a consultation starts a conversation — it does not reserve a date or create a contract. Support is confirmed by a signed agreement, and that agreement is the final word on what is included, what it costs, and what happens if plans change. Where this page and your agreement differ, your agreement wins.
Buying a guide or the course
Digital products are delivered as a download right after purchase, through a link sent to the email address you use at checkout. That link expires, and you can request a fresh one if it is missed. Downloads are for your own use; please do not redistribute or resell them. Refunds and cancellations are covered on the refund policy page.
Availability
Birth is unpredictable, and so is the internet. I cannot promise the site is always reachable or that every detail is current at every moment. If something here looks wrong or out of date, tell me and I will fix it.
Where this applies
